Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service and governs your use of GovGrantsUSA, operated by VRLY Ventures LLC. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Permitted Use
The Service is designed for organizations seeking federal grant funding, including small businesses, nonprofits, research institutions, and government contractors. You may use the Service for:
- Building and maintaining your organization's grant-seeking profile
- Searching and browsing federal grant opportunities
- Creating and drafting grant applications with AI assistance
- Managing application documents and team collaboration
- Exporting application materials for submission to government portals
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to create, store, or transmit content that:
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
- Contains false organizational information, fabricated credentials, or misrepresented qualifications
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory
- Violates any federal, state, or local law
- Impersonates another person or organization
- Contains sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for grant applications (Social Security numbers, bank account details, health records)
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Submit grant applications with intentionally false or misleading information
- Misrepresent your organization's eligibility, demographics, or certifications (minority-owned, veteran-owned, HUBZone, 8(a) status) to gain unfair advantage
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to unauthorized users
- Attempt to access another organization's data, applications, or account
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access the Service beyond normal browser use
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract grant data or platform content
- Circumvent plan limits, usage restrictions, or security measures
- Use the Service to generate grant applications for organizations that have not authorized you to act on their behalf
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or connected networks
- Use AI-generated content without reviewing and verifying its accuracy
4. Resource Usage
- Your usage must stay within the limits of your subscription plan
- You may not circumvent application, AI draft, or team member limits through technical means
- Excessive automated requests or API abuse may result in temporary rate limiting or account suspension
- Document uploads are subject to size limits and file type restrictions
5. Account Security
- Use a strong, unique password for your account
- Do not share your login credentials with anyone outside your authorized team
- Revoke access for team members who leave your organization
- Report any suspected security vulnerabilities or unauthorized access to hello@govgrantsusa.com
6. AI Usage Guidelines
When using AI-assisted drafting features:
- Provide accurate information in questionnaires and profile fields. The AI drafts based on what you provide.
- Review all AI-generated content carefully before including it in grant applications
- Do not rely on AI output as factual claims. Verify all statistics, data points, and assertions.
- AI-generated content is a drafting tool, not professional grant consulting advice
- You are responsible for the final content of any application you submit, regardless of AI involvement
7. Grant Application Integrity
Federal grant fraud is a serious offense. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:
- All information in your grant applications must be truthful and accurate
- Submitting false information to federal agencies may constitute fraud under federal law
- You are solely responsible for compliance with all grant program requirements
- GovGrantsUSA is not responsible for the content of applications you submit to government agencies
8. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor usage for compliance with this policy
- Issue warnings for minor violations
- Suspend or restrict account access for repeated or serious violations
- Terminate accounts permanently for severe violations, without refund
- Report suspected fraud to appropriate authorities
Enforcement actions are taken at our discretion and may occur without prior notice for severe violations.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days advance notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
